Research Programs

Core Center for Quantitative Neuroscience with Magnetic Resonance

The Core Center for Quantitative Neuroscience with Magnetic Resonance (QNMR), which is being supported by NINDS funding, brings together a multi-disciplinary group of neuroscientists at Yale who utilize novel magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS) techniques for their research. more...

Bioimaging and Intervention in Neocortical Epilepsy

This Bioengineering Research Partnership (BRP), funded by NIH-NIBIB is pursuing a program of research on neocortical epilepsy and the improvement of treatment through MR imaging, using surgical resection and/or responsive neurostimulation. more...

LV Strain Quantification from 4D Echocardiography

Accurate, comprehensive quantification of regional left ventricular (LV) deformation is crucial for detection, risk stratification, and management of patients with ischemic heart disease. In this BRP, supported by NIH, four partners from two academic institutions and industry will work together to develop and validate an integrated imaging/image analysis system that will accurately, robustly, and reproducibly quantify regional LV strain and strain rate from four-dimensional (3 spatial dimensions and time) echocardiographic (4DE) image sequences. more...
